Le Melezin
The location of this intimate Alpine retreat is second to none: situated
right on the Bellecote piste, just minutes from Courchevel 1850, one of the most
fashionable ski villages in the French Alps. If that's not enough to tempt you,
the fact that Le Melezin is owned by Aman Resorts should impress.
Le Melezin comprises of
just 31 rooms and suites, many of which feature a private balcony. Choose from
views overlooking the ski slopes, the village or the mountains. We particularly recommend the Chambre Melezin
which boasts both ski slope and village views, and the spacious Suite La
Vanoise which has a private sitting room with a cosy fire and stunning views of
the Vanoise Mountain and the slopes.
Enjoy traditional French cuisine and authentic Thai specialities in the dining
room. If the weather's good then we highly recommend taking afternoon tea on
the outdoor Terrace. Head to the cosy Salon, with its views of the slopes, and
warm yourself by the fireplace with a sociable apres-ski tipple! If you want to
head into the lively village of Courcheval 1850 for dinner or drinks, the hotel
offers a shuttle service until midnight.
If you're a skier you'll love the fact that you can just ski directly from, and
back to, the hotels ski room. This is ski-ing in style with heated boot racks
and bellboys who will lay out your skis on the snow in the morning, ready to
go! Off the slopes there are plenty of activities to keep you busy including ice-skating,
snowmobiling and paragliding. After a day of exercise, revive your tired limbs
with a massage in the hotel spa, de-frost in the hammam, swim in the indoor
pool or get your body ski-fit in the gym.
Two and a half hours by car
from either Geneva International Airport or Lyon-Saint Exupry International
Airport. Or 40 minutes by car from Motiers-Salins train station. Helicopter
transfers are also available.
