The Residence Mauritius
The Residence's
location on possibly the best beach on the island, its elegant simplicity and
genuinely friendly staff all combine to make the property one of the most
popular resorts in Mauritius, for both couples and families.
The 163 rooms and suites are furnished in a sophisticated Colonial style with dark
woods, shuttered windows and neutral colours. Your personal butler is on hand
to help you unpack, take care of your laundry and generally assist with
anything you may need. Choose from a view over the tropical gardens or towards
the sea from your balcony or terrace.
For a direct ocean view book one of the Ocean Front Rooms or
Suites.
The sumptuous buffet breakfast in The Dining Room is worth getting up for. Enjoy
a light lunch at The Verandah and indulge in an afternoon waffle from the
Gourmet Kiosk. We recommend dining at The Plantation at least once during your
stay - it's set slightly apart from the main hotel and serves delicious seafood
and Creole specialities.
There are activities available for everyone: tennis and horse riding; water
ski-ing and windsurfing; snorkelling and diving. The Sanctuary is home to the
fitness centre and a wonderful spa. Younger guests are kept entertained at the
excellent Planters Kids Club which offers a fun-packed programme including
treasure hunts; face painting, cooking classes and sports competitions.
1 hour by car from Mauritius International Airport.
