Trou Aux Biches Resort & Spa

After two years of total renovation and reconstruction Trou aux Biches Resort & Spa re-opened at the end of November 2010. Set on possibly the best beach in Mauritius - 2 kilometres of magnificent white sand beachfront - on the north-west coast of the island, this all-rounder resort is great for couples and families alike.

The 333 suites and villas are dotted throughout the extensive grounds. Options range from Junior Suites and Beachfront Suites with private pools - great for couples; to two bedroom Family Suites and the extremely private two and three Bedroom Pool Villas that sleep up to seven (with a maximum of 4 adults).

You can dine in a different location or sample a different cuisine every night of the week, with regularly changing menus offering Indian to Italian; Thai to tropical grills. Not to be missed are the afternoon pancakes at Oasis Bar and a house-special rum cocktail at the Caravelle Bar at sunset.

You will also be spoilt for choice when it comes to facilities and activities. For the active there are six floodlit tennis courts and a HEAD Tennis Academy; the Sports Centre has three rooms dedicated to fitness; you can hire bicycles or work out in the aqua-gym and there's a host of water sports. If you prefer a more leisurely holiday then relax by one of the many swimming pools or pamper yourself in the huge Clarins Spa. Younger guests are equally well catered for at the Teens Club and Mini-Club (complete with its own restaurant!)
