Six Senses Laamu
A
new addition to the Six Senses portfolio: Six Senses Laamu opened in April
2011 in the virtually unchartered Laamu Atoll. This eco-friendly paradise
boasts a variety of fun activities and a friendly, sociable atmosphere.
The 97 villas have been designed to blend in with the natural environment.
Beach Villas have direct beach access and a panoramic upper dining deck at treetop level. Water Villas, on stilts
over the lagoon, also have an upper dining deck offering sea views and an
unusual sunken all glass bathtub, so you feel like you're bathing amongst the
fish! A Two Bedroom Beach Villa with its own private pool is also available.
Dine on fresh Mediterranean food
at LEAF, above the Organic garden; watch the chefs at the live cooking stations
in Essence or choose from the changing menu at the overwater Longitude. If you
have a sweet tooth, dont miss the homemade ice cream and sorbets served at Ice.
Wine tasting at Altitude, the unique
wine tower of spun glass, is a must " with over 400 wines to choose from. After
dark enjoy the chilled vibe, live music and extensive cocktail list at the Chill
Lounge & Bar.
Laamu Atoll is a divers paradise with untouched reefs and an abundance of
marine life. If you prefer to be above
the water, try your hand at wake-boarding, water skiing, windsurfing and surfing,
or leisurely canoe around the island. After all that activity, head to the Six
Senses Spa for relaxation and pampering. A movie and popcorn at the open-air
Jungle Cinema is an idyllic end to the day.
