Capella Pedregal

Capella Pedregal, the premier spa resort in Cabo San Lucas, sits on the southernmost tip of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula. The beach resort is reached via the only privately owned tunnel in Mexico, Dos Mares. Carved through the heart of the mountain, the tunnel is a 300-meter long engineering feat that separates the town of Cabo from the Pacific Ocean.

Capella Pedregal has 44 luxurious bedrooms, each with a private terrace and plunge pool as well as spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. Eight Capella Rooms offer expansive luxury with sitting rooms, private terraces and plunge pools. Fourteen luxuriously suites with private plunge pools offer panoramic views towards the ocean. Each guest room features a rainforest and separate handheld shower, as well as a separate tub. There is a selection of stunning two, three and four bedroom Cabo San Lucas villas, each with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.

The restaurants in resort blend style and elegance. El Faralln is tucked into the cliffs and resembles a coastal seafood shop that has survived its share of storms. After making your selection, your seafood is weighted and bagged and sent directly to the chef to be prepared on an open char grill. As your meal cooks, the grill spreads the charred aroma and the pungent flavor of freshly ground chilies.

Don Manuel's, the Signature Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of Mexico's old world. The food is based on local, organic produce grown specifically for the restaurant and prepared using old world techniques in a modern setting.

In the morning "Su Cocina" is transformed into a breakfast buffet representative of a Mexican market. Around noon it is used to teach the traditional techniques and heritage of Mexican food, complete with offerings of tequila and wine and then for dinner it sets the stage as guests are invited into the kitchen for "Antojitos," or small plates, before beginning their meal.

There are a couple of towns that are a must to visit. Todos Santos is one of them. It is part of the unique collection of pueblos mgicos (magical towns) around the country. They also include San Miguel de Allende and Dolores Hidalgo in the state of Guanajato, to mention a few and they take their designation very seriously, especially in respect of the architecture and history of the town.

45 minutes by road from San Jose Del Cabo Airport

While staying at Capella Pedregal, take a trip into Cabo san Lucas, walk around the marina area, and enjoy a well made margherita in one of the local bars.

This is a great place to take out a luxury yacht for the day and see the Mexican Riviera from the Pacific Ocean. Game fishing is also available if you fancy trying your hand at something different. Theres an unspoken rule in Cabo that any restaurant will cook up your catch of the day exactly to your liking. Now you dont get that everywhere!
