Necker Island
Welcome to Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson's private island paradise in the British Virgin Islands. The island is spread over 74 acres and sits in turquoise waters surrounded by coral reefs and fringed with beautiful white sandy beaches. Necker is normally hired privately for up to 28 guests, but during selected 'Celebration Weeks' during the year couples or singles can book individual rooms and share the island 'house party' style.
Set on the top of Devil's Hill, this beautiful house is the heart of the island. The Great House brings everyone together for drinks before dinner whilst watching the sun set from the crow's nest, leisurely chats on the comfy sofas, or for the legendary themed parties! The Great House has six stunning rooms and a spacious Junior Suite each with a balcony. The jewel in the crown is the Master Suite which has its own Jacuzzi and private terrace with panoramic views over the ocean and neighbouring islands.
Fine food is the highlight of any guest's stay, and prices are fully inclusive of all food and all drinks, including fine wines and champagne. Guests can set the menu and mealtimes - or this can be left up to us. The wonderful Michelin-trained chefs can prepare dishes for all tastes. Dining can be formal or informal, indoors or outdoor, themed or traditional, beachside or poolside, or even under the stars!
There are six unique Bali Houses dotted around Necker Island which are perfect for tropical seclusion. Bali Hi, Bali Cliff and Bali Beach are built on a cliff in order to maximise views and sea breezes, and share a plunge pool. Bali Lo, Bali Buah and Bali Kukila can be found in the middle of the island and boast wonderful views with a large private pool.
As this is your own private island for as long as you are there, there are daytime excursions available or a programme of activities. But as this is Necker, activities are about what you want to do, but if you are after water-sports, there is a great team of instructors who are eager to get you out on the water while youre on island. The choice of activities is endless. There is also a resident tennis pro who is always keen to get people out on the court! And if you just want to relax spend part of your morning or afternoon receiving an amazing treatment from one of the three therapists.

Necker is 74 acres in size with a 3 mile perimeter. There are a number of trails on the north end of the island which will take you around the coast or over the ridge of Necker. Staff can take you on a guided tour full of the interesting facts of Necker, or simply point you in the right direction to brave it alone! Sneakers are recommended as there are a number of cacti around the trails.
Breakfast on Moskito is a new addition to Neckers morning activities! The event begins at the watersports centre where everyone sails, paddleboards, or swims downwind to Moskito Island. Moskito is also owned by Sir Richard Branson and boasts stunning views of the reef and surrounding islands. On arrival you will discover a beautiful beach with a relaxed area for dining, an inviting buffet and hot breakfast on the grill! After breakfast, guests either relax on the beach or hike the beautiful island which has lovely views of Necker and the surrounding areas. If the sea conditions are right you might even be able to do a cliff jump or two at the end of the walk.
Kite surfing is a new high adrenaline extreme sport. If you fancy giving it a go then we can teach you in a controlled, safe environment on Necker Island. The first stage is simply mastering to fly a kite and then we move into the water for some serious fun. We can also offer advanced tuition for anyone already riding.
