Rayavadee
The location of Rayavadee
is hard to beat: nestled discreetly amidst coconut groves against a
backdrop of sheer cliffs, jungle foliage and the waters of the Andaman Sea.
The
resort comprises of 98 circular two-storey pavilions. Its worth upgrading to
the Spa Pavilion or Hydro-Pool Pavilion which boast an outdoor jacuzzi or
hydro-pool respectively, in a private tropical garden. If youre travelling
with children book a Family Pavilion, which has an additional ground floor bedroom,
or one of the four luxurious two-bedroom villas.
Dining at Rayavadee is a memorable occasion, both for the food and scenic
locations. From sophisticated dining at Raya to sumptuous seafood barbecues at the
aptly named The Grotto; Thai cuisine in a sea-side location to pool-side snacks
and cocktails. The Grotto is perfect for romantic drinks-a-deux at sunset.
There are a host of excursions and activities on offer, encouraging you to
explore this stunning area: escape to a deserted beach at sunset; kayak through
the pristine mangrove forest; ramble through the Krabi landscape on elephant
back; learn to scuba dive or discover the art of Thai cooking. There's an
equally enticing "Just for Kids " activities programme to keep children entertained
whilst you slink off for pampering in the jungle-fringed Rayavadee Spa.
30 minutes by car from Krabi Airport, followed by a short speedboat transfer.

A truly unique way to appreciate the stunning scenery of the Phranang Peninsula is aboard the Pla Luang, Rayavadee's lovingly-restored Siamese junk.
Aptly named, The Grotto nestles under a limestone cliff on the edge of Phranang Beach. Oozing romance it is the perfect spot for a private toes-in-the-sand BBQ dinner for two.
The Rayavadee Villa not only boasts the best spot on Phranang Beach, but also has its own swimming pool with Jacuzzi, indoor & outdoor dining options as well as a sundeck just a few steps away from the beach.
