Four Seasons Tented Camp
Located amidst bamboo jungles in the northern-most Golden
Triangle region of Thailand, bordering Burma (Myanmar) and Laos. If you're looking for a unique, eco-friendly experience combining adventure and luxury
then the Four Seasons Tented Camp ticks all the boxes.
You
will stay in one of just fifteen, ultra private, individual tents. This is
camping in style " expect hardwood floors, handcrafted furnishings, air
conditioning and, the piece de resistance, a hand-hammered copper bathtub in
the centre of the bathroom! Each tent features an outdoor deck, complete with
two massage tables, offering stunning views. If you upgrade to a Deluxe Tent
you'll find a wooden hot-tub on the deck.
All your meals and drinks are included during your stay and will depend on the days
activities. Lunch maybe a picnic in the jungle or riverside as you take a break from bamboo rafting. Dine on Asian and
Western cuisine in the main restaurant where you can choose to join other
guests at the communal table or eat at a separate private table. In true camp tradition everyone gathers for sun-downers
at the Burma Bar: snacking on canapes and sipping aperitifs whilst watching the
sunset over the river.
The highlight of your stay will undoubtedly be getting up close and personal with
the camps elephants. Don your mahout outfit (placed in your room) and
learn about elephant bathing and feeding, as well as how to "drive your
elephant whilst you trek through the jungle. The Four Seasons Tented Camp is an
ideal base from which to explore the local area: boat along the Mekong to meet
residents of remote hill-tribes; trek through the nearby jungle with a local guide
or visit a Burmese village. Back in camp you can unwind by the pool or with a
spa treatment.
