Kauri Cliffs

In the Far North of New Zealand lies an unspoiled peninsula. High cliffs plunge to the sea and meet three gorgeous beaches. Huge native trees interspersed with giant fern crowd the inland forests. The magnificent golf course, which meanders through the forests and lowlands, is ranked 58th best in the world. Space envelopes you, your suite an apartment, your bathroom a spa. The effect is simple luxury in a far corner of the world.
Set on 6,500 acres near Matauri Bay, Northland, The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs affords spectacular 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean and overlooks our championship golf course. The beautiful panoramic view encompasses Cape Brett, the famous "hole in the rock" and the Cavalli Islands. A splendid plantation lodge hosts a spacious living room, two private day rooms, computer room, and a beautiful dining room with outdoor decks overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Eleven outlying guest cottages, each with two guest suites, provide accommodation at Kauri Cliffs. The cottages and a magnificent new spa facility are nestled on the edge of a native Totara forest overlooking the ocean and golf course and have been designed to offer the same stunning 180-degree vista as the main lodge from the private room verandas.
The spa is nestled at the edge of a Totara forest and overlooks a verdant fern glen and winding stream. Each Treatment room is equipped with a shower and changing area, has floor to ceiling views and opens into a private outdoor space where guests can enjoy garden inspired treatments al fresco and fireside. Enjoy a walk to one of our three private beaches, a meander through our beef and sheep farm or a picnic at our waterfall, Kauri Cliffs has something to offer everybody.

30 minutes by car from Kerikeri Airport.
