Ten simple yet luxurious palm-frond-roofed bandas; each with direct beach access. Midway between your banda and the ocean is your private traditional Zanzibari "beach" beds which is the perfect spot for reading, sleeping, gazing at dhows or doing nothing at all!
Enjoy a delicious breakfast delivered directly to your banda; freshly caught fish and seafood for lunch, while island crabs scuttle across the sand; and candlelit dinners served on the beach with the waves gently lapping a few metres away.
Days at Mnemba Island Lodge can be as active or as leisurely as you wish. Spend your day exploring the underwater world - two dives a day are included in your room rate; or keep your head above water and try your hand at fly-fishing, kayaking or windsurfing. Spice Island tours of Zanzibar can be arranged. Or you can simply relax and treat yourself to a massage.
1 hour by car from Zanzibar airport to Mnemba crossing followed by a 20 minute boat ride to Mnemba Island.
