Cottars 1920's

The Cottar Safari tradition began in 1919. Extending an era of luxury and quality the Cottars 1920's camp returns to the original spirit and essence of the safari, reminiscent of a golden era; an era of romance, professional guiding, adventure and elegance. Situated in the Masai Mara, bordering the Serengeti and Loliondo reserves in an untouched 250,000 acre exclusive area provides guests with the guarantee of privacy and an abundance of surrounding wildlife. Activities include day & night game drives, bush walks, swimming, fishing, bush meals and massages. The camp accommodates up to 16 guests in authentic, spacious white canvas tents. The camp has eight tents, each with a canopied verandah and carefully arranged to ensure privacy. Each tent is luxuriously furnished with safari antiques from the 1920's, private en-suite dressing rooms and bucket showers. The camp is equipped with a tented library and reading room and the cuisine along with quality service is of the highest standard to be found in the bush. The teams of guides take guests on walks through the bush to experience close encounters with wildlife. Being close to the border with the Serengeti, the spectacular wildebeest migration moves through this area every year and prolific game viewing is guaranteed whether on foot or in a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
